"Our chapter started with three or four eager professionals, regularly bonding and exchanging resources to benefit the geriatric communities we serve. After growing to over 50 providers and students from Lafayette, Monticello, Delphi, Crawfordsville, and other nearby areas, we chose an inclusive name that  reflected our growing roster of members: The Northwest Region of IGS.  Our events are held quarterly to discuss opportunities, share cutting-edge information, and enjoy the  family atmosphere created by our deep regard for what we all strive to do each day—empower our  vulnerable aging population and their caregivers with tools to help all of us navigate this journey  together. IGS is the thread that weaves our need for strong interprofessional relationships to our compassion for older adults. For this reason and many others, I am a proud member of IGS."
